• How does CanFund.me keep fund raisers safe?

CanFund.me features the very best in secure payment encryption technology. Your donors’ online payments are safe, and your money is stored securely until you’re ready to request a withdrawal via electronic bank transfer or via paypal.

• How do I withdraw funds from my fund raiser?

Once your crowd funding campaign starts receiving online donations, you can easily request a withdrawal at any time. Withdrawing money does not affect your campaign but will reset your current funding to $0.00. However a note will be made saying you requested a payout on your campaign page (to not confuse the people who supported you). Simply click ‘Request Funds’ while logged into your account and follow the instructions. You can withdraw your balance directly to your paypal account or via electronic bank transfer. Electronic bank transfers and paypal can take 3-7 business days to arrive.

• Are there any deadlines or time limits?

There are no important withdrawal deadlines you’ll need to observe, your fund raiser will remain live until you choose to choose to close your fund raiser altogether. Most organizers leave their fund raisers active indefinitely to refer back to the kind comments and support they received.

• What if I don't reach my goal?

No problem. Reaching your goal is not required. With CanFund.me, you keep each and every donation you receive. Your fund raiser will be able to accept donations even after your goal is reached. Once the goal is reached, the progress meter on your fund raiser will show that you have received more than your goal amount. If you’d like to continue raising money, you can keep your fund raiser running for as long as you’d like.
